The desk · terms of use
Terms of use.
The desk earns a commission when you buy through its code. That is the whole reason this page has to be plain: you should be able to read exactly what is being promised, what is not, and who to hold to it — without a lawyer.

01 Who you are dealing with
PropDesk is operated by an individual, not a registered company. There is no company number to quote, and this page will not pretend otherwise. Everything reaches the same desk at report@thepropfirmdesk.com, or through the contact form.
In these terms, “the desk”, “we” and “us” mean PropDesk. “You” means whoever is using the site, with or without an account.
02 What PropDesk is, and is not
PropDesk is a comparison desk for prop-firm evaluations. It publishes what challenges cost, what the discount code takes off, and what the desk has been told about how firms behave.
PropDesk is not a prop firm, a broker, an exchange or a financial adviser, and nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Prop-firm evaluations are not investment products. Trading involves a substantial risk of loss, and most people who buy an evaluation do not pass it.
You are responsible for your own decisions. If you need advice about whether any of this is suitable for you, get it from somebody licensed to give it.
03 How the desk is paid
The desk earns a commission when somebody buys through its code or its links, and the firms know it. That is the business model, stated on the front page and stated here.
What is not for sale, and what the desk undertakes to you:
- No firm can pay to appear higher on the board.
- No firm can pay to stay listed after a payout problem.
- No firm can pay to have a warning removed from its listing.
- When a firm is delisted, the reason is published.
A commission being earned does not change what the board says a thing costs. If you ever find that it has, that is exactly what the report form is for.
04 Prices, discounts and the calculator
Prices, plan rules and discounts on this site are indicative. They are read from each firm's own materials on the date shown on the firm's card, and firms change them without telling anybody. Confirm the number at the firm's own checkout before you pay. Where the desk shows the date it last read a firm's terms, that date is the honest limit of what the desk knows.
The calculator counts the list price and the discount the code applies, per plan family and account size. It does not count resets, spread, commission, platform fees, data fees or anything else that varies per account — those cannot be fairly estimated, so they are left out rather than guessed at.
A discount code is honoured by the firm, not by the desk. If a code is refused at checkout, the desk wants to hear about it, but the desk cannot force a firm to apply it.
05 Your account
- Use a real email address you control. Claims and account mail go there and nowhere else.
- One account per person. Accounts filed under several addresses to get around the claim caps in section 06 will be treated as one, and may be closed.
- Your password is yours to keep. The desk stores only a one-way hash of it and can never tell you what it is — see the Privacy page.
- Tell the desk promptly if you think somebody else is in your account. Changing your password ends every session that already exists, including theirs.
- The desk may suspend or close an account that is being used to defraud it, to abuse the claim process, or to attack the site.
06 The free $50K account
The desk funds one $50,000 evaluation account for a member on their first payout. This is the offer in full, and it is the same wording the board and the FAQ use.
What you have to do
- Buy any evaluation listed on the board using code DESK.
- Reach your first payout at that firm.
- File the claim within 30 days of the payout.
- Upload two documents, both as PDF: your purchase receipt with the date, time and billing details clearly visible, and the firm's payout confirmation.
What makes a claim ineligible
- A pass or payout more than 30 days old.
- Screenshots, photographs, or anything that is not a PDF.
- A receipt missing the date, the time or the billing details.
- A purchase made without code DESK.
- Anything over the cap: one free account per firm, per month, per trader.
How it is decided
Complete, legible submissions are approved within two business days. Incomplete or unclear submissions are rejected — you are told which, and you can file again with the missing document if you are still inside the 30 days.
The desk may verify with the firm that code DESK was actually used before funding an account. Filing a claim is your consent to that check for that purchase; what it involves is set out on the Privacy page.
“Funded” means the desk pays for a $50,000 evaluation account in your name at a listed firm. It is not a cash payment, it is not withdrawable, and it does not transfer to anybody else. The firm's own rules govern the account once it exists — the desk buys it, the firm runs it.
Documents that are forged, altered, or belong to somebody else end the claim and the account, and the desk will tell the firm.
The desk may change or withdraw this offer at any time. A claim already filed is decided under the rules that were on this page when it was filed — changing the terms cannot retroactively reject a claim already in the queue.
07 Reports you send the desk
Anyone can report a firm, with or without an account, because the trader with the most reason to report one is often the one who bought on the desk's word and never came back.
What the desk asks in return: report your own experience, and report it truthfully. Do not send other people's documents or personal details. The desk may act on what you send — including asking the firm about it, publishing a delisting reason, or correcting the board — but it will not publish your address, and it does not show your report to the firm as having come from you.
Reports are kept as the desk's own record of what was said about a firm, including after that firm leaves the board. Retention is on the Privacy page.
08 Using the site
Read it, use the calculator, compare the firms, take the code. What you may not do:
- Scrape or bulk-collect the board by automated means. The pricing on this site was assembled by hand, firm by firm; ask if you want to use it and there is a good chance the answer is yes.
- Try to reach another member's account, claims or uploaded documents.
- Attack, overload or probe the site or its API, or work around the rate limits.
- Copy the desk's text, layout or brand to pass something else off as PropDesk.
The site's own content — its writing, layout and mark — belongs to the desk. Firm names, logos and trademarks belong to those firms and appear here to identify them.
09 The firms are not the desk
When you buy an evaluation, your contract is with that firm. Not with PropDesk. The desk does not set their prices, write their rules, run their platforms, or decide their payouts, and it has no power to make them do anything.
PropDesk is independent of every firm listed, beyond earning a commission on code use. If a firm does not pay you, the desk will publish what happened and can delist them — which is the whole point of the report form — but the money question is between you and the firm.
10 What the desk is answerable for
The desk is one person keeping a board honest. The information here is provided as it is, checked on the dates shown, and offered without any warranty that it is complete, current or uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the desk is not liable for trading losses, for evaluation fees you paid, for a firm's conduct, for a payout a firm did not make, or for anything you decided on the strength of a price that turned out to have changed at the firm's checkout.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount the desk earned in commission on your purchase, if any.
The free $50K account in section 06 is a separate promise, and the desk stands behind it on the terms stated there.
11 Changes to these terms
These terms can change. The date at the top of this page always says when they last did, and material changes are announced to members by email. Claims already filed are decided under the version that was published when they were filed — see section 06.
12 Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.
Before that, write to report@thepropfirmdesk.com. A desk this size can usually fix a problem faster than a court can hear about it.
